Artist Statement Izzy Sproba
I am Izzy Sproba,
A third-year student at Oregon State University, majoring in Innovation and
Design Management with a minor in Marketing. I love exploring and creating, with a deep
passion for all things design, whether that is photography, drawing, painting, decorating, or
content creation. I thrive on bringing my ideas and visions to life.
The photographs in this collection were taken during my summer abroad in Italy, each capturing
a unique moment of beauty, culture, and creativity.
Venetian Echoes
After a gondola ride on a day trip to Venice, my friends and I wandered through the city, soaking
in the charm of its canals and colorful buildings. I took this photograph as we walked, feeling as
though we had stepped into another world. Venice feels suspended in time, unlike anywhere else.
Petals and Place
This photograph was taken in Piazza Santo Spirito, just a minute from our apartment, during the
weekly Sunday market. My roommate and I made it a tradition to walk down and pick out baby’s
breath for our apartment. It was a small ritual, but one that made Florence feel even more like
home.
Portraits in Passing
Every morning on my walk to school across the Ponte Vecchio, I would pass a Florence Street
artist just beginning his work, carefully sketching the first lines of his latest piece. By the time I
walked home in the afternoon, his drawing had transformed into a finished work. Witnessing this
daily evolution became a ritual I looked forward to.
Heart Meets Grandeur
